We haven’t joined any affiliate programs yet, and there are no affiliate links on the site right now. Links to products, labs and manufacturers are ordinary links that earn us nothing.
What that means for our recommendations
- We always recommend testing your water before you buy treatment equipment.
- Commissions will never decide what we recommend, how we rank options, or what we leave out. If a free or cheaper option (such as a state lab test) is the better choice, we say so.
- We don’t accept payment for reviews, rankings or placement.
- We only say we tested or used a product when we really did. When a recommendation is based on published specs, prices and documents instead, we say that on the page.
